Seneca Casino Hotel & Slovenia

Seneca Niagara Casino, NY

My client was chosen from 21 manufacturers to produce 620 rooms of furniture for the Seneca Niagara Casino Hotel in Niagara Falls, New York. I researched hotels in the region for my client. At the time there were 2 casino hotels on the Canadian side and none of the American side. The main casino hotel overlooks the falls, and the King suites have an amazing view of the falls with floor to ceiling glass. The site of the new Seneca hotel is situated back from the falls and the fall cannot be seen at all.

The recommendation I made to my client was to make the rooms the destination. The King Suites have freestanding whirlpool baths, and a bar. We included details such as windows with drapes that are remote controlled from the bedside. Manufacturing came from two sources, my client manufactured some pieces in Jamestown, NY and the large pieces that could be shipped unassembled were manufactured in Lasko, Sylvania. All the furniture was to be assembled on site by Seneca Nationals under the training of my client’s employees. This turned out to be a highly successful arrangement and I was asked to design similar furniture for the Sothern Tier Seneca Casino to be built in Salamaca, NY with a total of 230 rooms.
