My client Artone manufacturing specializes in hospitality furniture and wanted me to design a unique piece of furniture for the BDNY, Boutique Design New York Show in the Javits Center in Manhattan. My design was a
free-standing piece of furniture with the following unique features:

• Slide out drawer for open carry-on luggage

• Safe drawer with interior charging station for laptop, i pad, smart phone

• Convenient lock and go with room key card

• Dual sided power source and workstation

• Large storage under for midsize to large luggage

• Night guide under lighting at base

My Artone team and I took my design and in Nov. 2016 it was introduced at the BDNY. The unit was a Best of Show Finalist, an award-winning design. It featured our invention – the charging drawer. Since then, charging drawer has become the standard in hospitality, kitchen, and office cabinetry throughout the world!
