Installation at Canadaigua

The Canandaigua Veterans home received a 1-star rating in 2017 and was in the process of a major reconstruction. Part of the reconstruction was to refurbish the rooms with new furniture and equipment. My client was selected to manufacture all the furniture for the rooms. My patented “off the Floor” designs were selected for this project.

The furniture and equipment included an overhead patient lift system, and my furniture designs included custom storage cabinetry for this purpose. The project required custom detailing including no sharp edges, rounded corners, easy of accessibility, drawers pulls and interiors of cabinets to be antibacterial etc.

This was the largest installation of my “off the Floor” and “My Companion” furniture. All the furniture was manufactured in Jamestown, NY. The photography shows the manufacturing and the final installation completion just before the patients were able to move into the  refurbished rooms.
